Walkthrough

Items required	Items from the tool belt are not listed unless they do not work or are not automatically added. A vial Either 4 soft clay OR 6 jugs of water (bringing the soft clay will save you time and you will not have to worry about your water evaporating; you can mine the clay north of Uzer) A papyrus Recommended: Multiple waterskins (or an enchanted water tiara or ice cream cone hat to save inventory space) Desert robes to reduce the usage of waterskins A charged amulet of glory or a broomstick for quick teleportation to Shantay Pass Dominion Medallion for quick trips to Uzer A digsite pendant for faster access to the digsite

Getting started

• Head East of the Shantay Pass to the Ruins of Uzer.
• Pick up the Letter West of the Broken Clay golem.
• Talk to the golem.
• Use four Soft clay on the golem.
• Talk to the golem.

Statuette

• Climb down the stairs in the ruins right next to the golem.
• Go north, take a Strange implement from the NW room and pick one of the Black mushrooms in the NE room.
• Read the letter and talk to Elissa, who is at the Northeastern part of the Digsite, about the letter.
• Head to the Exam Centre just South of the Digsite.
• Search the bookcases and read Varmen's notes.
• Talk to Curator Haig Halen in the Varrock Museum about the Statuette.
• Pickpocket him.
• Head upstairs to the last case in the first row and steal the statuette.

The Portal

• Go to the bridge that crosses the River Elid and immediately head north on the west side of the river without crossing the bridge. Grab a Phoenix feather from the Desert Phoenix.
• Go to the ruins and down the stairs.
• In the centre of the room will be four alcoves. Place the statuette in the empty one.
• Turn the statuettes toward the double doors to the north, go through them and go back through the portal. You can pick up the gems on the throne north of the room if you want to.

The Golem

• Go back upstairs and talk to the golem.
• With an Empty vial in your Inventory, grind the black mushroom.
• Use the phoenix feather on the Black mushroom ink.
• Use the Phoenix quill pen on a piece of Papyrus.
• Use the strange implement on the golem then quickly use the Golem program on the golem.
• Quest complete!
