A ring of potency is obtained from Gudrik after completing all of the paths from the new tutorial system. If the player's account was created before the tutorial was added, it is possible to simply obtain the ring from Gudrik in his house located in the southwest of Taverley.

Two prizes can be obtained by completing the Ashdale tutorial, one being Morwenna's headdress. When the player completes the recommended, basic challenges (fishing, attack, prayer, woodcutting, and mining, all of which can be completed inside of Burthorpe/Taverley and all items from which must be given to Challenge Mistress Fara), the player can return to Gudrik to be presented with the ring of potency, along with the game bringing up an interface recommending quests, minigames, and bosses you can do, depending on which path you plan to take. These options are skiller, adventurer, and combat.
