A hydrix ring is a ring made by crafting a gold bar with a hydrix at level 79 Crafting, giving 130 experience. Enchanting it with Enchant Level 6 Jewellery (requiring 87 Magic) or the enchant onyx tablet will turn it into a ring of death, which gives best-in-class bonuses and has a chance to heal you for 2.5% of your target's maximum life points when killing them. The plain hydrix ring has no bonuses.
